What happens when dreams meet reality?


It depends on what we are willing to fight for.

It also depends on what we are willing to let go of.

 

Many people, especially since covid, have been reassessing their lives, looking and working for something better, a life that brings them joy. 

 

To that end, I did numerous leadership and self-development courses, by all the top people. I learned about the power of intention, discipline and manifestation.

 

After all that learning, I spent a year in Bali, which I just loved.

Except…


Despite the billion-dollar self-help, personal development & success industry's ability to show you how to get what you want…

 

It can’t make you happy.

 

“The blessing of the Lord makes one prosper, and He adds no sorrow to it.”

~ Proverbs 13:12

 

 

I’ve seen it play out so many times and I imagine you have too - wonderful people who rise, fly too close to the sun, burn their wings, and fall from the heavens as their life falls apart. 

 

Without that blessing, getting what you want will have sorrow attached to it, as surely as a clause in the fine print. 

 

If you want to prosper, truly prosper, you need the blessing of the living God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob (Israel); the one Yeshua (Jesus) called Father.

 

How do you get that blessing? The short answer is ask, and keep on asking.

In a world where image seems to count for so much, self image is the bottom line. How many stories have been told of one sacrificing one's self, for the sake of the approval of others? It's never enough and in the end they get sucked dry. Anyone relating here? The good news is, there is a way back, a way through, a way over the hurdles life throws at us. It's as simple as being loving. It might sound corny, even offensive, but try not to throw the baby out with the bath water... All of the shoulds and have to's, regulations and assessments, good and bad, can be summed up in two things - "Love the Lord (your Source) with all your heart and all your mind and all your soul & love your neighbour as yourself." ~ Matthew 22.37 Sounds impossible doesn't it?
